MYSA National Background Check
Password and Username: MYSSLP -Please note, all SLPSA Coaches, Asst. Coaches(>=18 yrs old), Team Managers, and Board Members must complete this ONCE a soccer year which starts mid-August. Referees that also Coach for SLPSA should submit to this background check first and notify the SLPSA Referee Coordinator. Please contact the Club Registrar with questions regarding your current Background Check status if uncertain.
CDC Concussion Certification
The CDC is offering a free training video (link above) to help coaches have a better understanding of the signs, symptoms, consequences and prevention of concussion. SLPSA is requiring all coaches, assistant coaches and team managers to watch the video before coaching/managing this season. It takes less than 30 minutes and you will receive a certification of completion. This training must be completed once per year (with the year beginning the fall season). For the fall 2009 season, we are introducing scheduling package that integrates game field scheduling, referee assignment, and practice field scheduling functionality. Attached below is a .PDF file "How To" to step you through the process of adding, deleting and re-scheduling practice fields. Just like before, the new practice scheduling system IS NOT linked to the club website. That means coaches/team managers must 1st schedule the practice fields on Arbitersports.com, then add these practice sessions to the team calendar as well.
