The club is offering the opportunity to assist families that participate in our soccer program. The concept of this program was inspired by the "pay it forward" ideology. We are collecting slightly used soccer equipment to assist local families that are in need. This is a great time to clean out those closets, and donate your kids used cleats, shin guards, goalie equipment, uniforms, and soccer balls.
Some equipment not used locally within our club, would then be donated to International Health Services of Minnesota, which would make the equipment available to children and families in Honduras.
At upcoming club events such as the March 14 Open House, there will be opportunities to drop off your slightly used equipment. You can contact Angela Sandok (firstname.lastname@example.org), PVU FC's Equipment Exchange
Park Valley United Needs YOU!
You are invited, as part of our soccer community, to join one of our newly formed PVU committees to help develop a quality soccer program. The committees fall into three main categories: Marketing/Communications, Operational and Soccer Development. This is an important time in our organization and we look to you for your ideas, feedback and involvement in positively shaping Park Valley United.
Each committee is chaired by a current board member and will meet monthly outside of regular board meetings. As a committee member you will have the opportunity to put ideas into action by working on short and long term goals of the club. We welcome all volunteers, no matter your soccer expertise or child's level of play. Please sign-up using the Sign-Up Genius link below before February 10th to secure a spot on the committee of your choosing.
Thank you in advance for your participation!
Thank you for the over 500 submissions we received over the past weeks. There is a great amount of passion and excitement vested into our new club already. Together we took a major step into the branding of our new club.
Our New Club is...(drum roll)
Park Valley United FC
We narrowed our selections based on a variety of factors such as creativity, brand effectives and identity to about 25. From the final pool of names, the board voted to select the semifinalist group of 3. We partnered with a well known local branding firm, Mosquito, to identify which name would best give us a total branding identity and story. We are excited to be able to work with Mosquito to further develop our brand and marketing strategy in the next 90-120 days.
Overall we felt the name best fits each of the former club's rich history and retains the origins of each community. The addition of FC provides us with an opportunity to bring an international flair to the name when needed.
We are happy to announce the $250 name selection winner: Sheila Hanson. Additionally our 3 additional randomly drawn $100 winners are: Emerson Mehring, Matthew Haberman and Kiya Hegdahl. Please reach out to Steve Lovell, email@example.com to receive your prize.
Here’s to a exciting chapter in our newly formed club.
Go Park Valley United FC!!!!!!
